Job Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth by selling Ingersoll Rand's full suite of solutions, including capital equipment such diesel generators, chillers, CDU and digital/energy solutions.

This role focuses on developing long-term customer partnerships, expanding installed base value, and maximizing lifecycle revenue through consultative selling and value-based solutions. The incumbent will identify new business opportunities, manage key accounts and ensure cross-functional collaboration to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

Drive sales of complete solutions for power generation, chillers etc.
Identify new business opportunities within existing and new customers, focusing on total solution selling.
Build strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers at customer organizations.
Manage sales pipeline, forecast accurately, and meet/exceed assigned sales targets.
Collaborate closely with service, engineering, and application teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Promote aftermarket services such as maintenance contracts, parts, and system optimization.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to refine sales strategies.
Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategy, and contract management.
Ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and issue resolution.
Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and customer engagement activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field desirable.
Minimum 5 years experience in business development or High value, complex sales equipment, ideally in mechanical or electrical industries.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Highly self motivated, strategic, and results driven.
Valid driving license and willingness to travel within Malaysia.
Fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage).

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Frequent travel within Malaysia & other countries, based on customer and business needs.
