About the Role
This role focuses primarily on Accounts Receivable (AR) and credit control, while also supporting month-end closing and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is confident in communicating with customers, able to work independently, and possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Credit Control
- Manage the full Accounts Receivable (AR) function, including collections, overdue monitoring, and follow-up on outstanding payments.
- Review customer credit applications, assess credit limits, and recommend payment terms to minimize credit risk.
- Prepare customer statements, debtor aging reports, collection forecasts, and other AR-related reports.
- Liaise with customers regarding payment matters, account discrepancies, and progress claims.
- Attend customer meetings together with the Operations and Sales teams when required.
- Ensure timely issuance and compliance of e-Invoices in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Prepare accounting entries and journal postings related to AR, sales transactions, and month-end activities.
- Support month-end and year-end closing, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and supported with proper documentation.
- Assist with audits, tax matters, and other finance-related reporting requirements.
- Perform ad-hoc accounting and finance assignments as required by Management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1-2 years of accounting experience , preferably in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or a similar function.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end closing processes.
- Experience in customer collections, credit assessment, and AR management is highly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel experience with SAP will be an added advantage.
- Detail-oriented, quick to learn, independent, and able to take initiative.
- Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for a Senior Account Executive position.
