About the Role
We are looking for an AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications and intelligent automation solutions. You will work closely with product managers, software engineers, and data teams to develop production-ready AI systems using modern LLM technologies, machine learning frameworks, and cloud platforms.
This role requires hands-on software engineering skills, experience integrating AI models into real-world products, and the ability to build scalable, secure, and reliable AI solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agents.
- Build scalable backend services and APIs to integrate AI capabilities into customer-facing products.
- Develop and optimize prompt engineering strategies to improve model accuracy, reliability, and user experience.
- Implement RAG pipelines using vector databases and embedding models.
- Integrate commercial and open-source LLMs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Llama, or Mistral.
- Fine-tune, evaluate, and monitor AI models for performance, quality, latency, and cost.
- Develop AI workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or similar orchestration frameworks.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into AI solutions.
- Implement automated testing, observability, and monitoring for AI applications.
- Ensure AI solutions follow security, privacy, and responsible AI best practices.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Generative AI and machine learning technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with at least 1-2 years building AI or machine learning applications.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience working with REST APIs, backend development, and microservices.
- Experience building applications using LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Azure OpenAI, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with RAG architectures and vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, Milvus, or pgvector.
- Experience using AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or CrewAI.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, embeddings, and AI evaluation techniques.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience deploying applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Git.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience fine-tuning open-source LLMs.
- Knowledge of MLOps tools and model deployment pipelines.
- Experience with Hugging Face Transformers, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Experience building multi-agent AI systems.
- Knowledge of AI safety, guardrails, and responsible AI practices.
- Experience with multimodal AI (text, image, audio, video).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
