We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer (GenAI/RAG Systems) to build and deploy next-generation AI recruitment solutions, delivering end-to-end features across GenAI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems for enterprise clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop React.js dashboards and UI/UX features for recruiters and hiring managers, including filters, analytics, and candidate insights.
- Build and maintain backend services and REST API endpoints using FastAPI.
- Design and implement Python-based pipelines for CV processing, AI scoring, and candidate report generation.
- Work on prompt engineering, rubric generation, and scoring evaluation frameworks for AI-driven recruitment.
- Implement end-to-end RAG pipelines with chunking, embeddings, vector search, reranking, and retrieval grounding.
- Develop semantic candidate-job fit analysis using pgvector hybrid search.
- Build and integrate AI agents using frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or N8N for autonomous recruitment workflows.
- Integrate GPT Vision for document parsing and multimodal candidate processing.
- Manage tool-calling, memory management, and multi-step agent orchestration.
- Work with Supabase/PostgreSQL and pgvector for hybrid keyword and semantic search.
- Integrate with ATS platforms, Claude/OpenAI APIs, and email delivery systems.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or a related field.
- Malaysian citizenship required.
- 1–4 years of experience building production GenAI/RAG systems.
- Demonstrated ability to ship complete applications from UI to database to AI pipeline.
- Strong Python skills as the primary development language.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript and React.
- Experience building backend services using FastAPI.
- Experience developing frontend applications using React.js.
- Hands-on experience with Supabase, PostgreSQL, and pgvector.
- Experience working with Claude API, OpenAI API, embeddings, and prompt engineering.
- Real-world RAG experience, including chunking, embeddings, vector search, reranking, and retrieval grounding.
- Experience with vector databases or search tools such as pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with at least one agentic AI framework such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or N8N in a production or near-production context.
- Strong understanding of Git, REST API design, testing, error handling, cron job scheduling, and cloud/VPS deployment.
- Proven track record integrating external APIs.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with LangChain or LlamaIndex for knowledge-based RAG systems.
- Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or additional AI agent frameworks.
- Experience with GPT Vision or multimodal AI.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
- Experience using Docker for containerised development environments.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or GitHub Copilot.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or a related field.
