Key Responsibilities
- Support the coordination and scheduling of daily shipment activities to ensure smooth operations and alignment with customer requirements.
- Provide expertise in air freight operations, including contributing to tender submissions and ensuring adherence to customs and trade compliance requirements.
- Assist the supervisor in strengthening and expanding air freight service offerings by working closely with internal departments such as Sales and Marketing.
- Engage with airlines and service providers to obtain competitive pricing and maintain healthy operational margins.
- Review airline/vendor invoices for accuracy and promptly address any billing discrepancies.
- Carry out improvement actions based on audit results and management directives to address operational issues.
- Identify opportunities to refine processes and enhance operational efficiency in line with changing business needs and customer expectations.
- Undertake any additional tasks assigned by management when required.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in any field, with preference given to candidates from Logistics, Supply Chain, or related disciplines.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in air freight or logistics operations.
- Hands-on experience in managing air freight operations, including interaction with airlines, terminals, and internal teams.
- Solid understanding of air cargo regulations (IATA) and Dangerous Goods (DG) handling; certifications will be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of customs clearance procedures and international trade compliance practices will be an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Well-developed organizational skills, with a strong ability to solve problems and manage multiple priorities.
