As Analyst, Commercial & Origination is responsible to support the development and execution of offshore wind projects by conducting market analysis, evaluating commercial opportunities, and assisting in deal origination. This position is responsible for providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to facilitate business growth and align with the company's goals. Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to assess market trends, support due diligence activities, and develop competitive strategies for securing partnerships, projects, and contracts within the offshore wind sector.

Responsibilities

  • Support the origination process, including identifying and meeting company target and ambition.
  • Support in development and implementation of commercial strategies to achieve growth targets.
  • Support negotiation, drafting, and execution of commercial contracts and agreements.
  • Support in ensuring all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as company policies.
  • Support in contract renewals and amendments, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Collect and compile financial data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain and update financial models, databases, and reporting tools.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across all financial reports and analyses.
  • Provide input and support for strategic planning initiatives, including long-term financial projections and scenario analysis.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to address specific business questions or challenges.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Support in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including partnerships, alliances, and strategic accounts.
  • Support in identifying and pursuing new market segments.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  • Support in the development of strategic plans to address market needs and enhance competitive positioning.
  • Monitor industry developments and adjust strategies as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Have at least 4 years of professional experience in business development, commercial or similar scope of work.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, project valuation, and sensitivity analysis for renewable energy projects.
  • Understanding of key commercial terms and contract structures related to energy projects.
  • Strong research capabilities to evaluate market trends, competitor activities, and policy developments in renewable energy.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in reporting, stakeholder management, and ensure adherence to internal governance.
  • Effective team leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of offshore wind, solar, or other renewable energy technologies is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
