Finance Business Service Centre: The Future of Finance is Strategic!

Established in Kuala Lumpur in early 2017, the Global BSC Finance manages financial transactions for Air Liquide entities in the Asia Pacific region, covering the transactions related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables and Collections, Treasury Operations, as well as General Ledger. Backed by a highly experienced group of finance personnel, the team work on Continuous Improvement Projects that leverage on new and emerging technologies as well as automation to drive operational and cost efficiencies, while progressively increasing expertise to enlarge the scope of activities such as reporting and IFRS 16 implementation.

We're looking for an experienced Analyst to join our Intercompany team. In this pivotal role within our Shared Service Center (SSC), you'll specialize in Intercompany Accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting while driving process optimization.

• Month-End Close & Reporting: Lead the global intercompany month-end close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, managing intercompany recharges, and generating balancing reports.
• Intercompany Reconciliation: Oversee the end-to-end reconciliation of cross-border intercompany balances (AR/AP and loans). Partner with regional finance teams to promptly investigate, track, and resolve out-of-balance mismatches.
• 3-Way Matching: Enforce and execute strict 3-way matching controls (matching intercompany Purchase Orders, Goods Receipts/Invoices, and Intercompany Sales Orders) to ensure transactional accuracy before settlement.
• Aging Clearance & Dispute Resolution: Proactively monitor intercompany AR/AP aging sub-ledgers. Identify, investigate, and clear aged or disputed items, ensuring the open-item backlog is minimized ahead of reporting deadlines.
• Transfer Pricing & Compliance: Execute and monitor intercompany billing in strict accordance with established transfer pricing agreements and tax regulations.
• Treasury & Settlements: Coordinate with the Treasury department to manage intercompany netting, loan management, interest calculations, and cash settlements.
• Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the current intercompany ecosystem and drive initiatives to automate manual processes, shorten the close cycle, and enhance data integrity.
• Audit & Controls: Support internal and external audit requests by providing accurate workpapers, reconciliations, and documentation. Maintain and enforce strong SOX controls around intercompany transactions.

Are you a MATCH

The successful candidate should have:

• At least 3 years in audit, commercial accounting or shared services accounting is required
• Degree in Accounting / Finance equivalent
• Business level proficiency in English
• Good knowledge in accounting principles
• Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills
• Possesses team player qualities and takes initiative and ownership of assigned duties
• Conversant in Oracle and Google Workspace preferred but experience with other ERPs may be considered
