Role Description: To ensure that the daily operations are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with local statutory and compliance regulations. Liaise with third parties to lodge tax returns and finish audits promptly and accurately. Assist the Finance Manager in preparing TP Documents and any other tax-related matters. Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Financial Managers and other team members to successfully execute various accounting tasks, including financial documents, payments, billings, bank reconciliations etc.
- Maintain full set of accounts, company ledgers and daily financial transactions accurately in compliance situations. Conduct balance sheet and inter-company reconciliations.
- Create reports for management and team members. Handle monthly financial close activities under the assistance of the Accounts Manager for Local Book.
- Collaborate with Financial Managers to create the management worksheets, including Manpower-Outsource accumulated income, maintenance, license contracts etc., to ensure the local data accuracy
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS/MFRS. Handle the tax compliance work, including SST, WHT, CIT,tax audit etc.
- Assist in treasury management: monitor cash flow, compile weekly and monthly cash reports, prepare cash plans and forecasts to ensure a stable and secure cash flow.
- Assist in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation. Liaise with Auditor and tax agent. Ad-hoc tasks assigned by HQ.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in accounting or audit; experience in multinational or regional operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/MFRS and local tax regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Proficiency in the Mandarin language will be required as the role will be liaising with colleagues in Shenzhen on a daily basis.
- Prefer candidates who are familiar with Malaysian e-invoicing or with experience in Saudi tax and finance.
