Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Architect role based in Petaling Jaya. The Assistant Architect will support project teams in developing architectural concepts, preparing drawings, models, and presentations, and coordinating design details for architecture, interiors, and urban design projects. Daily responsibilities include assisting with schematic and detailed design, updating CAD/BIM models, preparing documentation, and collaborating with senior architects and consultants to ensure design intent and technical accuracy. The role involves participating in design reviews, coordinating with contractors and suppliers when required, and helping to manage project timelines and deliverables. The Assistant Architect is expected to contribute creative ideas, maintain organized project files, and support quality control of drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong foundational skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development, space planning, and detailing.
  • Candidates should possess relevant Software Development and Integration skills as applied to architectural workflows, such as integrating design tools, plugins, or digital platforms for coordination.
  • Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including basic scheduling, task tracking, and coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or other BIM software, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and demonstrate the ability to produce accurate drawings and visualizations.
  • Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a studio environment.
  • A recognized degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification and familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and construction practices are highly beneficial.
