Job Description

The Assistant Manager, Continuous Improvement & Implementation is responsible for driving process optimization, operational efficiency, and system improvements across Warehouse, Distribution, and 3PL operations. This role will lead continuous improvement initiatives, implement best practices, and enhance overall supply chain performance to support business goals

Responsibilities

Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization

  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities across warehouse, distribution, and 3PL operations.
  • Develop and implement lean processes, automation, and technology-driven solutions to enhance productivity.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to address operational challenges and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead Kaizen, 5S, and other process improvement methodologies to streamline workflows.

Warehouse & Inventory Management Enhancement

  • Improve warehouse layout, space utilization, and material handling efficiency.
  • Optimize receiving, put-away, picking, and dispatching processes for better throughput.
  • Support the implementation of WMS, and digital tracking solutions for inventory accuracy and real-time visibility.

Distribution & Logistics Efficiency

  • Enhance order fulfillment speed, truck loading efficiency, and last-mile delivery performance.
  • Work closely with Distribution team to reduce turnaround times and improve service levels.
  • Implement data-driven decision-making to improve transportation planning and delivery schedules.

3PL & External Warehouse Optimization

  • Collaborate with 3PL providers to enhance operational efficiencies and cost-effectiveness.
  • Establish performance tracking systems to monitor 3PL adherence to SLAs.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs with external partners to align with company objectives.

System & Technology Implementation

  • Support the rollout of new technologies and digitalization efforts in Warehouse & Distribution.
  • Work closely with IT and Operations to implement WMS and other digital solutions.
  • Train and guide teams on best practices for system usage and compliance.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Define and track KPIs for warehouse, distribution, and 3PL performance.
  • Generate and analyze operational reports to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure all process improvements are sustainable and measurable.

Requirements

  • With at least a Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or continuous improvement roles.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is required; Black Belt is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of lean methodologies, process automation, and operational optimization.
  • Familiarity with SAP, WMS and data analytics tools.
  • Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives and implement change management strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
