Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise internal technician team in managing Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) and ad-hoc maintenance works.
- Oversee maintenance activities for warehouse, office, and company properties, including repair and improvement works assigned by management.
- Ensure all daily maintenance operations are carried out efficiently with minimal operational downtime.
- Coordinate emergency breakdown support and corrective maintenance activities.
- Act as competent person/chargeman representative to ensure all facilities and systems comply with safety, statutory, and operational requirements.
- Ensure all plant rooms, HT/LV rooms, electrical systems, lifts, fire protection systems, and building
- equipment are maintained in good condition and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and ensure all maintenance servicing, inspections, and certifications are conducted according to schedule and compliance standards.
- Liaise with relevant authorities, service providers, and contractors regarding compliance, maintenance, and safety matters.
- Manage and monitor contractors for all PPM and ad-hoc works to ensure work quality, safety compliance, and timely completion.
- Review maintenance reports, quotations, and service recommendations from vendors and contractors.
- Ensure contractors comply with company safety requirements and operational standards during work execution.
- Plan and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and building systems.
- Maintain proper maintenance documentation, service records, and compliance reports for audit and internal control purposes.
- Prepare maintenance status updates, incident reports, and operational analysis for management review.
- Monitor maintenance expenses, material usage, and support cost control initiatives.
- Lead, guide, and coordinate technician team to ensure maintenance activities are completed within targeted timelines.
- Support operation teams in resolving facility-related issues and improving overall building performance.
- Ensure workplace safety practices and housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Facilities Management, Building Maintenance, or related field.
- Possess must valid ChargemanCertificate A4 or BO issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or related field.
- Strong knowledge in electrical systems, HT/LV systems, fire protection systems, lifts, HVAC, and building maintenance operations.
- Experience in managing Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM), ad-hoc maintenance, and contractor coordination.
- Good understanding of safety, compliance, and statutory requirements related to facility operations.
- Strong leadership, technical, and management skills.
- Hands-on approach in troubleshooting, maintenance, and site operations.
- Able to lead technician teams, manage multiple tasks, and work under pressure.
- Good communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills
