Assistant Manager, Finance Bintulu, Sarawak

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Finance to join a leading downstream operations company based in Bintulu, Sarawak. The ideal candidate is a finance professional with the maturity and leadership skills to manage a small team and support business operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a 5-member finance team, including a Senior Finance Executive and support staff.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial and management reporting.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and statutory accounts.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and foreign exchange exposure.
• Deliver actionable financial insights and recommendations to management.
• Liaise with auditors, bankers, and regulatory authorities.
• Improve internal controls, governance, and overall process efficiency.
• Support procurement, vendor, and tender reviews.
• Contribute to pricing policy formulation and value creation initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA/CPA/MICPA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in management.
• Strong grasp of statutory, management accounting, and treasury functions.
• Proven leadership with the ability to develop and supervise a team.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in SAP and strong analytical capability.

Salary Range: RM8,000 RM11,000
