Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • On-site Technical Support:Provide basic support for desktop hardware, applications, email, printers, and network-related issues at client sites.
  • Installation and Configuration:Assist in the installation, de-installation, and configuration of MS Windows OS, applications, and user software.
  • Break/Fix Troubleshooting:Perform initial troubleshooting for hardware and software issues, escalating more complex problems to senior engineers.
  • Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC):Support hardware and software relocations and updates as part of project requirements.
  • Preventive Maintenance:Participate in preventive maintenance activities to ensure system performance and stability.
  • Escalation Management:Escalate unresolved technical issues to the Field Service Team Lead/ Supervisor for timely resolution.
  • Project Rollouts and Installation:Assist in project rollouts and the installation of new systems and technologies.
  • Service Level Agreement (SLA) Compliance:Ensure service requests are responded to and resolved within the agreed timeframes to meet SLA requirements.


Requirements:

  • Qualifications:Diploma or bachelor's degree in computer science/ information technology or engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach and good communication skills.
  • Technical Knowledge:Basic understanding of IT troubleshooting and root cause analysis, with working knowledge of Microsoft desktop applications and Windows OS.
  • Language Skills:Proficiency in English, both written and verbal; Mandarin or other dialects are a plus.
  • Work Environment Adaptability:Ability to adapt to a fast-paced IT environment and adjust to user requirements as needed.
  • Independent Work:Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Travel Requirement:Must be willing to travel within the Klang Valley and possess own transportation.
