Are you a quality-driven Automation Test Engineer who loves breaking complex code and building bulletproof web automation frameworks We are seeking a precision-focused QA Automation Specialist to join an enterprise engineering division in Kuala Lumpur on a permanent basis!

This is an advanced technical seat within an Agile delivery team. We are looking for an engineer who doesn't just run pre-made test scripts, but actively designs automated test suites, performs data validation across Big Data platforms, and champions code-coverage metrics.

Requirement Note: This permanent position is open to local talent based in Malaysia. Hard Technical Gate: You must have a minimum of 2 years of deep, production-level, hands-on experience exclusively utilizing Cypress or Playwright.

Role Overview:

• Position: Automation Test Engineer / Systems QA Engineer
• Employment Type: Permanent
• Experience Baseline: 3–5 years in IT | Minimum 2+ years of absolute hands-on Cypress or Playwright
• Core Language: JavaScript
• Data & Infrastructure Ecosystem: Linux scripting, Relational DBs (PostgreSQL/Oracle), and Big Data (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, ClickHouse)
• Industry Plus: Telecom, Intelligence, or Analytics domain experience
• Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

️ Your Core Quality Assurance Mission:

• Framework Automation Execution: Design, write, and execute robust, moderately complex automated test cases and end-to-end user journeys using Cypress or Playwright.
• Big Data Validation: Move beyond standard UI testing to perform backend data consistency validation across high-throughput data platforms like ClickHouse, Hive, and Spark.
• Agile Quality Governance: Partner with development teams to embed quality gates early in the lifecycle—driving adoption of code coverage benchmarks, unit testing practices, and proactive bug prevention.
• Environment Maintenance: Plan, configure, and manage Linux-based test server setups to support isolated automation test runs.
• Defect Lifecycle Management: Isolate, document, and track software defects, providing detailed root-cause breakdowns to accelerate engineering sprint cycles.

What You Must Bring to the Table:

• Real Project Track Record: Proven experience building or scaling framework infrastructure from scratch using JavaScript. (Academic or certification-only experience will not pass client screening).
• Database Fluency: Solid command of querying databases (PostgreSQL/Oracle) to verify data integrity post-test execution.
• The Linux Layer: Comfort navigating a Linux CLI environment, executing shell scripts, and reviewing system logs.
