AVP, Islamic Product Development

Job Description:

1. To develop and introduce innovative Shariah compliant banking products and services or programmes that align with the Bank's strategic goals and aspirations.
2. Conduct research on market offerings and trends within the banking industry. Manage end to end of product development including:

• Product ideation and conceptualization.
• Preparation of project plan and establishment of working group.
• Obtaining approval in accordance with the product governance process.
• Preparation of test plan and performing user acceptance testing.
• Leading discussions with the working group and monitoring the progress of all deliverables.
• Working with external partners (if any).
• Completing the required documentation.
• Ensuring operational readiness.
• Conducting training prior to launch.

3. Conduct refresher training whenever required

4. Deal with internal stakeholders, internal control functions, the regulators, external auditors, consultants and panet solicitors whenever necessary

5. Ensure compliance to Shariah and regulatory at all times.

a) Skills:

v. Time management and effective delegation skills

vi. Computer literacy (word, excel, power point)

b) Knowledge & Qualification:

i. A bachelor's degree in any of the following relevant fields (Finance, Banking, Business Management, Economics).

ii.General knowledge on conventional and Islamic banking products and practices.

iii. Well versed with relevant regulations in Islamic Finance.

iv. Knowledge on sustainability, halal industry or social finance will be an added value.

c) Experience:

i. At least 5-8 years working experience in product management/development
