About The Department

The Credit and Risk Management function is comprised of three teams: Risk Management, Credit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Group's business activities within the risk appetite established by the Board. This involves identifying and evaluating the risks, developing effective risk governance and strategies as well as providing independent assessment of the overall risk profile.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the ORM secretariat function in several risk committees (i.e. Ops Risk Working Group, Ops Risk Management Committee, Product Program committee and Integrated Crisis Management Committee).
  • Provide relevant support and advice to the Business/Support Units on ORM programmes.
  • Participate in relevant Bank projects, ad-hoc assignments, joint exercises/initiatives with other Business/Support Units & stakeholders.
  • Manage the administrative function for the UOBM Policy Portal and GRC system.
  • Conduct the annual review of relevant ORM related frameworks, policies and guidelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of Power Point slides or any other management reporting materials, as and when necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation of training/briefing materials for stakeholders / Business Risk & Control Management (BRCM).
  • To take on any ORM programme and support the existing team members.

Job Requirements

  • Between 3 to 6 years working experience in operational risk management and familiar with the basic methodologies.
  • Have basic understanding of the ORM system which comprise of the respective ORM modules (e.g. KRCSA, Incident, KORI, outsourcing etc).
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia including good report writing skills.
  • Ability to work under stressed situations and capable of multi-tasking.
  • A team player, pro-active in sharing ideas, fast learner & keen to learn new portfolios / tasks, self-motivated and committed to the work.
  • Familiar/proficient with Microsoft Office namely Excel, Power Point, etc.
