Role holder is responsible to manage, monitor, and maintain backup and recovery systems to safeguard critical business data and ensure business continuity.
- Administered and managed NetBackup infrastructure, ensuring reliable backup and recovery services across enterprise environments.
- Monitored daily backup operations, generated backup health and compliance reports, proactively resolved job failures, and optimized system performance to ensure operational stability and successful backup completion.
- Conducted regular backup validation, recovery drills, and restoration testing to verify data integrity, recoverability, and service readiness.
- Developed, implemented, and maintained backup policies, retention schedules, and recovery procedures in compliance with regulatory, security, and business requirements.
- Analyzed backup infrastructure performance and capacity trends, recommending and implementing improvements to optimize storage utilization, enhance efficiency, and reduce backup windows.
- Collaborated with infrastructure, database, application, and security teams to ensure comprehensive data protection coverage for mission-critical systems and services.
- Administered and supported cloud-integrated backup solutions, including AWS-based backup services, cloud storage repositories, disaster recovery capabilities, and backup lifecycle management.
- Managed and optimized backup integration across cloud-native services and hybrid-cloud environments, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient protection of on-premises and cloud workloads.
- Participated in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution activities to support business continuity and resilience objectives.
- Identified operational risks, evaluated emerging technologies, and recommended strategic improvements to strengthen enterprise backup, recovery, and data protection capabilities.
We are looking for people with
- Bachelor's or Professional Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Willing to support after-hours and on-call rotation.
- Familiar with regulatory compliance and data protection standards.
- Familiar with NetBackup Administration, Data Protection & Recovery, Performance Tuning and Backup Troubleshooting & Incident Management.
