Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Business Development Executive to join Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia. You will be responsible for driving dealer/partner network expansion, identifying business opportunities, and managing the full cycle of partner acquisition, selection, and onboarding. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong market awareness, and the ability to build long-term business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
1.Market Expansion
· Conduct research to identify potential markets with strong demand and growth opportunities.
· Analyze competitor dealer networks and recommend strategies for GWM's sustainable expansion.
· Provide market intelligence and insights to support management in decision-making.
2.Partner Engagement
· Approach, engage, and encourage potential candidates to invest and collaborate with GWM.
· Build strong, trust-based relationships with new and existing partners.
· Act as a GWM brand ambassador, presenting investment benefits and partnership advantages.
3.Partner Forums & Applications
· Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing partner forums, networking events, and roadshows.
· Collect, verify, and maintain data from partner applications to ensure completeness and accuracy.
· Manage and track application progress while ensuring compliance with company policies.
4.Interview & Translation
· Arrange and coordinate partner selection interviews, ensuring smooth scheduling and logistics.
· Provide translation (English–Mandarin–Bahasa Malaysia) for candidates and committees.
· Facilitate clear communication between stakeholders to ensure effective evaluation.
5.Onboarding & Process Follow-Up
· Follow up on partner applications, checklists, and compliance documents until completion.
· Assist new partners with setup processes, liaising with internal departments when necessary.
· Ensure new partners are properly onboarded and ready to represent GWM's brand standards.
6.Dealer Operations & Performance Support
· Assist in after-sales operations and Body & Paint (B&P) planning for GWM dealers.
· Support dealer assessments, audits, and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with GWM standards.
· Monitor dealer operational performance and provide follow-up support for continuous improvement.
· Support in training coordination and execution for dealers and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
· Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in business development, preferably within the automotive industry or a related sector.
· Proficiency in English and Malay is mandatory; Mandarin is highly preferred.
· Strong understanding of the Malaysian automotive market and dealer network landscape.
· Proven ability to conduct market research, analyze competitor data, and provide actionable insights.
