We are seeking a hands-on Business Development Manager to drive end-to-end sales in the Large Scale Solar (LSS) – Utilities segment. This is a full-cycle BD role covering lead generation, client engagement, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure. Ideal for a commercially driven individual who is confident in closing deals independently within the renewable energy/utility space.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the LSS (Large Scale Solar) sector
- Generate and qualify leads through industry networks, stakeholders, and market outreach
- Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure
- Engage with key stakeholders including developers, utilities, IPPs, and government-linked entities
- Prepare, position, and present commercial and technical proposals
- Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, terms, and contract structure (PPA / project agreements)
- Coordinate closely with internal technical, engineering, and project teams to ensure feasibility and execution readiness
- Drive revenue growth and achieve assigned sales targets
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and sales reporting
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development / Sales / Commercial rolesMandatory experience in Large Scale Solar (LSS) projects
- Strong track record in closing LSS deals / utility-scale solar projects
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
