Business Intelligence Engineer (BI Engineer)

Role: Business Intelligence Engineer (BI Engineer)

Location: Kuala Lumpur(Onsite)

Duration: 12 Months (Renewable) Contract

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & KPI definition (20%): Partner with Product Owner and business stakeholders to clarify

analytical needs; define and map KPIs to governed definitions and critical data elements.

BI development & semantic modeling (40%): Build and maintain dashboards, report datasets and

semantic/metrics layers in Power BI; author DAX measures and Power Query transforms; ensure single

source of truth and governed reuse.

Data validation & quality (15%): Perform profiling, reconciliation and automated tests; document data

quality gaps and work with Data Engineering / Data Quality team to remediate.

Governance & traceability (10%): Work with Data Governance Analyst to align metrics/dimensions to the

business glossary; maintain lineage and metric traceability to source.

Enablement & documentation (10%): Publish report documentation, data dictionaries, lineage diagrams;

run trainings and provide onboarding for business users.

Release/change control (5%): Manage versioning, promotion across environments, stakeholder sign-off

and support post-release stabilization.
