Job Description

  • Report to immediate superior & Department Head.
  • To define, setup, document and maintain manufacturing processes.
  • To closely monitor process yields and product quality performance and take prompt action to contain and resolve problems that are affecting yields, manufacturing cost and product quality at earliest stage possible.
  • To apply various methodology including Statistical Process Control techniques to ensure that all processes are sufficiently monitored and in control.
  • To adopt systematic problem-solving method to analyses, identify and resolve root cause of problem.
  • To take prompt action in response to process/quality problem detected by QA & customers which include providing temporary solution to contain the problem at earliest stage possible & permanent solution to minimize the risk to customers.
  • To work with related department on tooling design & fabrication requirements, DOE activities new product setup and process qualification.
  • To train, develop & motivate subordinates to achieve high level of performance which include discipline, safety, housekeeping, attendance, productivity, quality of work
  • To specify process control and new product, process & tooling qualification requirements with QA.
  • Develop CNC program for new product for existing or new customer within schedule.
  • Prepare cutter master list and check cutter availability at tool room.
  • Monitor and trouble shoot 1st test cut program until complete part quality buy off.
  • Register proven program in to system and master list.
  • Design and develop new jig and fixture for new product and process improvement.
  • Provide special/custom made cutter drawing to cutter maker.
  • To lead and supervise subordinates to ensure that the duties &assignments carried out meet or exceed the expectations.
  • Any other responsibility which may be assigned from time to time by immediate superior / Department Head.
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent.
  • Required skill(s): MS Powerpoint, MS Word.
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Engineering - Mechanical/Automotive or equivalent.
