CAREER CENTRE EXECUTIVE – VISITOR EXPERIENCE

Location: KL sentral, Kuala Lumpur

Work Arrangement: Duty roster, including weekends and public holidays as required

About the Job

We are seeking a friendly, proactive and service-oriented Career Centre Officer – Visitor Experience to support the daily operations of a technology-enabled career and talent exploration centre.

The role serves as a front-line officer, responsible for welcoming and guiding jobseekers, students and other visitors throughout their journey at the centre. The officer will assist visitors in navigating career exploration activities, digital tools and available career-related services while ensuring a positive and professional visitor experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist walk-in jobseekers, students, groups and other visitors, ensuring a professional and positive experience throughout their visit.
  • Guide visitors through the centre's career exploration journey, interactive activities and digital facilities, providing clear instructions and assistance when required.
  • Provide basic information on career pathways, employment-related services and available programmes, and refer visitors to the appropriate officer or service for further assistance.
  • Manage visitor registration, queues and visitor flow, particularly during peak periods, scheduled group visits and special programmes.
  • Support the daily readiness of the centre by ensuring interactive stations, digital equipment and visitor areas are ready for operation, and promptly report any technical or facility issues.
  • Assist in career talks, group visits, outreach activities, stakeholder programmes and events conducted at the centre.
  • Maintain accurate records of visitor attendance, activities, enquiries and other operational information as required.
  • Handle visitor enquiries and basic concerns professionally, and escalate complaints, technical issues or operational incidents to the Centre Manager when necessary.
  • Work closely with other officers and the Centre Manager to ensure smooth daily operations and service delivery.
  • Perform other operational and visitor-support duties as assigned based on the centre's requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Human Resources, Business Administration, Communication, Hospitality, Management or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; experience in customer service, career services, hospitality, front-line operations, events or other people-facing roles would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English, with confidence in engaging visitors from different backgrounds.
  • Friendly, approachable and comfortable speaking, presenting and providing guidance to individuals and groups.
  • Comfortable using digital systems, interactive technology and basic office applications.
  • Service-oriented, proactive, responsible and able to handle multiple visitors or tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player with the ability to follow operational procedures and instructions from the Centre Manager.
  • Must be willing to work on a duty roster, including weekends and public holidays, based on the centre's operating requirements.
