Job Description:
A company seeking a highly motivated and dynamic
Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead technology and IT operations in the rapidly evolving insurance industry. This is a strategic and hands-on role designed for a leader who is passionate about eCommerce, enterprise solutions, and IT support coverage. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of technology and business processes, a strong leadership presence, and the ability to drive innovation in a competitive and highly regulated environment.
As CTO, you will work closely with the executive leadership team to align technology initiatives with the company's business goals. You will lead efforts to modernize our IT infrastructure, ensuring we stay at the forefront of technological advances to enhance efficiency and customer experience in the insurance sector. Your role will encompass overseeing eCommerce, enterprise systems, and IT support coverage, managing both the technical and strategic aspects of IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Leadership: Oversee the company's technology strategy and operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the broader strategic vision. Guide IT managers and team members to execute on technological initiatives effectively.
- Innovation & Strategy: Drive the development and implementation of new technology solutions that support business growth, eCommerce, and enterprise operations, keeping our offerings competitive in the insurance market.
- IT Infrastructure & Support: Manage day-to-day IT support coverage to ensure operational continuity, reliability, and scalability of systems. Oversee IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, cybersecurity measures, and data management.
- Collaboration with Executives: Partner with other business leaders to understand operational needs, identify technological gaps, and develop solutions that support business goals and improve customer experience.
- Team Leadership: Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
- System Modernization: Lead the removal of outdated systems and the integration of cutting-edge technology platforms that enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure best practices in information security, compliance with industry regulations, and management of company data in line with legal and operational requirements.
- Budget & Resource Management: Manage budgets for technology initiatives, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently. Maintain financial accountability for IT expenditures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience in IT and management roles, with substantial experience in eCommerce, enterprise systems, and IT support. Experience in the insurance industry or regulated environments is a plus.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of IT systems, enterprise solutions, cloud platforms, eCommerce technologies, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage IT teams, including hiring, mentoring, and developing talent. Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Problem-Solving & Multitasking: Ability to solve complex technological problems and manage multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP, ISO27001, CISSP, CISA, or CISM are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Latest Technologies: Ability to stay ahead of emerging technology trends and apply them to business needs. Strong knowledge of best practices in information security and technology management.
