College Intern - Product Engineer

What a College Intern - Product Engineer does at HP, Penang:

• Performs research and analysis of data collected from experiments and tests, using engineering software to model data or suggest solutions.
• Works with other engineers on process teams, operation supervisor, testing center supervisors, communicating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that the testing meets requirement.
• Develops new technology or improving existing technology by conducting experiments, performing experiments using computer simulations, or building prototypes.
• Communicates with clients or supervisors to gather information about project requirements or to report progress on a project.
• Conducts technical research to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Performs engineering calculations, including working with computer aided design (CAD) tools and Minitab to design products.
• Analyzes data to determine possible causes of problems.
• Assists senior engineers in project management, design, and development processes.
• Conducts research, gather data, prepare engineering reports and perform analysis to support engineering projects.
• Creates and modify engineering drawings and schematics.
• Assists with prototype qualification and testing.
• Attends meetings and participate in discussions related to ongoing engineering projects.
• Learns and apply engineering principles and practices to improve project outcomes.
• Follows established engineering standards and guidelines.
• Continuously improve skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Fast learner, proactive and self-driven.
• Technically inclined and hands-on.
• Fluency in English - both spoken and written.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google platforms, Power BI etc.
• Time management and critical thinking skills.
• Able to commit for at least 3-6 months.
