Competitive Intelligence Analyst - Finance Team | Supporting Corporate Development, Strategy & Investor Relations

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Competitive Intelligence Analyst to join our Finance team. This role will provide analytical support to the Corporate Strategy and Investor Relations teams by monitoring the competitive landscape, analyzing industry trends, and tracking financial performance of peers and key customers.

The successful candidate will design efficient processes for data collection, competitive monitoring, and financial analysis, while proactively identifying insights that support leadership decision-making. The role combines structured quarterly analysis (peer benchmarking and customer earnings) with ongoing intelligence gathering (competitive activities and industry reports), requiring both strong analytical discipline and intellectual curiosity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Competitive Peer Benchmarking (Quarterly)

  • Collect and analyze financial metrics for the company and competitors following quarterly earnings releases.
  • Maintain benchmarking tools comparing revenue growth, margins, geographic performance, and segment trends.
  • Prepare quarterly benchmarking presentations summarizing:
  • Key financial trends
  • Competitive positioning
  • Strategic commentary from peer companies
  • Highlight relevant insights and implications for internal leadership.

2. Customer Earnings Analysis (Quarterly)

  • Monitor and track quarterly earnings
  • Analyze customer financial performance including:
  • Revenue growth
  • Profitability indicators
  • Business outlook and market commentary
  • Identify potential risks and growth opportunities
  • Maintain a structured customer intelligence database to track updates and historical trends.

3. Competitive Activity Monitoring (Ongoing)

  • Track competitor developments beyond the earnings cycle, including:
  • Investor presentations
  • Press releases
  • Strategic announcements
  • Public statements
  • Develop and maintain a systematic process for capturing and organizing competitive intelligence, leveraging AI tools and technology where appropriate.
  • Proactively highlight significant market developments to Strategy and Investor Relations teams.

4. Industry Intelligence Monitoring (Ongoing)

  • Monitor staffing industry insights and reports
  • Other relevant industry research firms.
  • Extract and summarize key trends and insights for leadership.
  • Maintain an organized repository of industry intelligence for future reference and analysis.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and continuously improve efficient processes and tracking systems for competitive intelligence.
  • Use technology and AI tools to enhance data gathering and analysis while ensuring data accuracy.
  • Prepare clear, structured summaries and presentations for leadership teams.
  • Maintain high data integrity and quality control across all analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with U.S.-based stakeholders across time zones, with flexibility during peak periods such as earnings season.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Economics, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, competitive intelligence, investor relations support, or similar analytical roles.
  • Strong ability to interpret:
  • Financial statements
  • Earnings releases
  • Investor presentations
  • SEC filings
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
