Job Purpose:
Responsible to support Assistant Vice President, Compliance in overseeing and enhancing LTAT's compliance framework, assist in implementing effective compliance programs, contributing to compliance initiatives, fostering a strong compliance culture and assist in advising management and support units on compliance matters.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Compliance Program Support
- Assist in the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive compliance program specific to the regulatory landscape of LTAT to ensure the proper compliance culture is embedded in LTAT.
- Ensure alignment of compliance policies and procedures with regulatory requirements and industry best practices to safeguard LTAT against compliance risk.
2. Compliance Risk Management and Mitigation Support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct regular risk assessments, identifying potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities related to LTAT to ensure all risk of non-compliance are addressed and mitigated.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of strategies to mitigate identified risks to ensure low to zero non-compliance.
3. Policy and Procedure Oversight
- Support in the development and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures tailored to LTAT, ensuring regulatory adherence.
- Assist in facilitating training programs to ensure comprehensive understanding of compliance policies and procedures among relevant personnel.
4. Monitoring and Reporting Assistance
- Contribute to the establishment of a robust monitoring and testing program to assess the effectiveness of compliance controls in LTAT.
- Assist in the preparation of comprehensive compliance reports to Risk & Compliance Management Committee, and the Risk Board, highlighting key findings, corrective actions, and recommendations.
5. Compliance Initiative Support
- Collaborate with the AVP, Compliance in the implementation of compliance initiatives within LTAT.
- Provide support in executing compliance projects to enhance overall compliance posture and culture within LTAT.
6. Advisory Support
- Assist in providing advisory support to management, business units, and support units on compliance matters.
- Contribute to offering guidance on compliance requirements, potential risks, and best practices to ensure a proactive approach to compliance management.
7. Contribution to Compliance Unit Leadership
- Collaborate with the AVP and VP in supporting the leadership of the Compliance Unit.
- Participate in team meetings and initiatives aimed at advancing the goals and objectives of the Compliance Unit.
- Assist in carrying out assigned tasks and projects under the guidance of the VP and AVP.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive and productive work environment within the Compliance Unit, fostering teamwork and cooperation among colleagues.
8. To undertake any additional assignment as instructed by LTAT.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in accounting, business, finance, law or a related field is typically required.
- Professional qualification is an added advantage.(e.g., Certified Compliance Professional.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance work, business, and operation, financial, laws, regulations, and enforcement actions.
- Proven experience in compliance management within the GLICs is an added advantage.
