The Conservation Assistant will help ensure the smooth implementation of project fieldwork in Ulu Sungai Menyang (USM), particularly in administrative tasks, data complication, activities coordination and liaise with local community, project partner and relevant stakeholder.
- Assist in essential administrative matters including making logistic arrangements, for longboat/4WD/accommodation in town/homestay, informing communities and district office through official letters prior to every field trip, arranging meals and ration on the ground and travel to the sites.
- Liaise with project partner, local communities and vendors for field work arrangements.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders, government and private agencies as well as other NGOs, district offices, service providers and suppliers and others.
- Take photographs and videos for the use of reports and WWF-Malaysia's communications material in every event by using the tools provided and credit the photographer and organization accordingly.
- Prepare reports, write-ups and meeting minutes.
- Participate in regular meetings with BENGO and SCP team.
Requirements
- Possess at least a diploma in science, environmental management, or a related conservation field, or have relevant experience in conservation work or related fields.
Salary Range
RM1,700 - RM2,200
