Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the General Counsel of South East Asia on legal and compliance matters
  • Focus on legal affairs in Malaysia, identifying and managing risks in JLL's business operations
  • Provide strategic advice for JLL Malaysia's operations and develop processes to manage legal risks
  • Draft and negotiate contracts for various business lines of JLL and assist with tender responses
  • Handle disputes, including HR issues and litigation management
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory systems in Malaysia as well JLL's ethical obligations
  • Assist with global legal, compliance, and special projects
  • Conduct training on legal, ethics and compliance issues
  • Perform general corporate, commercial, and regulatory work

Qualifications:

  • Law degree from a recognized law school
  • 6+ years post-admission experience in private practice or in-house
  • Experience working in a multinational corporation preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Commercial acumen with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities meeting deadlines
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Understanding of the real estate industry and its growth areas
