We are seeking a Cost Accountant to manage full-cycle product costing and drive financial accuracy in a manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include:
Responsibilities:
- Managing standard costing models, including quarterly and annual cost revision exercises in coordination with the US Central Accounting team.
- Performing periodic variance analysis on materials, direct labor, and purchase prices to identify root causes and support effective cost control.
- Reviewing resource absorption rates and investigating variances to ensure accurate cost allocation.
- Preparing journal entries and ensuring timely, accurate month-end and year-end closing deliverables (excluding intergroup finished goods entries, which remain centralized).
- Overseeing monthly inventory reconciliation and delivering timely management reports.
- Coordinating periodic stock takes and ensuring proper inventory management practices.
- Monitoring daily operational issues, evaluating inventory-related financial reports, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Assisting in the implementation and monitoring of internal controls.
- Submitting cost update requests to US Central Accounting and executing updates upon approval.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; finalist or actively pursuing CIMA or ACCA certification.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in standard costing within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Oracle or other ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, with strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Immediate availability or short notice period is highly preferred.
