Job Outline:
Perform technical responsibilities primarily in the area of costing within accepted accounting methods and techniques with the objective of providing Management with accurate, timely and relevant finance and costing information for reporting and decision-making.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and analyse monthly Business Unit Income Statements to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Maintain distribution cycles, Bills of Material (BOM), recipes, resources, and production versions in SAP
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring for Business Unit performance
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of reports generated by the IT system
- Analyse sales, operating expenses, cost of sales, and profitability variances
- Perform product costing analysis and evaluate cost impacts arising from operational changes
- Prepare trend analysis and management reports related to productivity, operational efficiency, and profitability
- Participate in cost reduction, cost optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support system automation and process enhancement projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and operational reporting requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience in Business Unit Analysis or Data Analysis is an added advantage
- Knowledge of SAP and Power BI will be an added advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge in costing and pricing analysis will be an added advantage
