Job Descriptions:
1. Curatorial & Exhibition Management:
- Curate, plan, and execute a diverse calendar of exhibitions and related events (bazaars, showcases,) that promote Dasein's values, enhance our brand, and generate positive publicity.
- Manage the full exhibition lifecycle, from concept and artist liaison to installation, de-installation, and marketing.
2. Creative Space Design:
- Design and transform the college environment into an engaging and inspiring creative space.
- Develop seasonal, festive, and themed decorations across campus.
- Propose and implement permanent or temporary art installations that enhance the college's identity.
- Lead the campus aesthetic program, incorporating artworks from the Dasein Art and Design Collection (DADC) and student work into common areas (lobbies, corridors) to create an inspiring environment.
3. Dasein Art and Design Collection (DADC) Stewardship:
- Manage and grow the DADC through strategic purchases and donations.
- Maintain the complete inventory, including digital records, condition reports, and proper documentation for all artworks.
- Enhance the visibility and value of the collection through curated showcases and exhibitions across the academy by applying creativity and aesthetic sensibilities to develop installation art that beautifies the campus environment.
4. Event Production & Gallery Operations:
- Oversee end-to-end event logistics for all gallery and campus activities, including venue coordination, vendor management and branding.
- Supervise daily gallery operations, ensuring an exceptional visitor experience, safety compliance, and the proper maintenance of the facility.
- Provide on-site support and troubleshooting to ensure all events operate smoothly.
5. Strategic Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as a key liaison between departments, academic staff, students, and external partners (vendors, artists, donors).
- Contribute to curriculum development as an external advisor, ensuring alignment with industry practices.
- ·Develop and execute organizational plans and strategies that align with Dasein's brand and values.
- Undertake other related tasks or special assignments as directed by Management.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, Interior Design, Exhibition Design, Visual Communication, Event Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in creative installations, exhibition curation, visual merchandising, event styling, or spatial design.
- Strong artistic sense with the ability to conceptualize and transform spaces into engaging visual experiences.
- Excellent project coordination, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects within deadlines.
- A portfolio showcasing creative installations, exhibitions, or spatial design projects is highly preferred
