Cyber Security Engineer – Malaysia
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join projects in Malaysia under the Infra & Digital Workplace domain. As part of the CyberSecurity Product Service Line (PSL), you will design, implement, and maintain enterprise‑grade security solutions across APAC. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to safeguard systems, enforce compliance, and drive harmonization of standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and run enterprise security infrastructure (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection).
- Implement and monitor security controls across cloud and on‑prem environments.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure compliance with global security standards.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis.
- Support architects in developing technical roadmaps for security upgrades.
- Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
- Drive standardization and harmonization of security practices across APAC entities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT, or related field.
- 5+ years in cyber security engineering, implementation, and management.
- Expertise in:
- Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet)
- Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)
- SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight)
- Endpoint protection and vulnerability management tools
- Cloud security (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Incident response and forensic analysis
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
