We are hiring a Cybersecurity Incident Response Analyst for a leading global organization in Penang, Malaysia. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first line of defense within the Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) by monitoring, triaging, and responding to cybersecurity alerts and incidents.
- Manage the complete incident lifecycle, including analysis, prioritization, containment, escalation, and remediation in collaboration with the Incident Response team.
- Conduct technical investigations on security incidents, including evidence collection and forensic analysis.
- Analyze large and complex datasets, security logs, and malicious artifacts to identify threats, trends, and indicators of compromise.
- Perform threat hunting activities and support continuous improvement of the organization's incident detection and response capabilities.
- Contribute to the enhancement and maturity of Security Incident Response processes and ensure alignment with global security standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and CSIRT teams to promote cybersecurity best practices across the organization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Network Security, or Systems Security, with hands-on experience in Cybersecurity Incident Response within an enterprise environment.
- Strong expertise in SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, DLP, UEBA, Full Packet Capture Analysis, and Threat Hunting.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows, Linux/Unix, networking protocols, web technologies, cyber-attack methodologies, malware analysis, and the incident response lifecycle.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, assess, and respond to complex security incidents.
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multicultural environment.
