About The Role

Reports to: Head of Demand Planning, SIMA

What You'll Do

As a Demand Planning Executive, you are responsible for managing and enhancing demand forecasting processes by ensuring data accuracy, generating insights, and collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams. The role involves driving weekly forecast planning, analyzing sales trends and performance, and improving forecast accuracy through root cause analysis and continuous process enhancements. As a key contributor to S&OP and S&OE discussions, this role identifies risks such as stock gaps and proposes mitigation actions while supporting inventory optimization and fulfilment. This position also requires maintaining reliable data systems and translating analytical findings into actionable recommendations to support informed business decisions and overall supply chain effectiveness.

Demand Planning & Forecasting

  • Manage sales data validation to ensure accuracy for forecasting
  • Develop and maintain weekly forecasts, incorporating inputs from Sales, Marketing, and NPD
  • Analyze trends and provide insights to improve forecast quality
  • Support regional forecasting and order planning

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Lead preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports with actionable insights
  • Analyze sales trends, historical data, and key KPIs (e.g., ADS, sell-out trends) to support business planning
  • Monitor and communicate key changes in forecasts, promotions, and commercial strategies
  • Translate data into clear recommendations for stakeholders

Forecast Accuracy & Continuous Improvement

  • Take ownership of forecast accuracy tracking and performance analysis
  • Conduct root cause analysis on forecast variances and identify improvement opportunities
  • Drive initiatives to enhance forecasting processes, tools, and data quality
  • Support adoption of best practices in demand planning

Cross-Functional Collaboration & S&OE Support

  • Act as a key point of contact between Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and NPD on demand planning matters
  • Lead or support forecast alignment discussions with stakeholders using data-driven insights
  • Contribute actively in S&OE meetings by highlighting risks (e.g., Out-of-Stock, volume gaps) and proposing mitigation actions
  • Influence decision-making through clear, fact-based communication

Inventory & Data Management

  • Monitor inventory health, including excess, slow-moving, and transition SKUs
  • Partner with Sales and Warehouse teams to drive clearance and stock optimization plans
  • Ensure accurate and structured maintenance of demand planning databases and systems (e.g., SAP, BI tools)
  • Support initiatives to improve fulfilment rates and minimize write-offs

What You Bring

• Ideally 2-3 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain or a related analytical role

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience interpreting sales trends, forecasting data, and business performance metrics.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using ERP or analytical tools such as SAP, Power BI, or similar systems.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams.

• Experience in FMCG or fast-paced industries with exposure to S&OP/S&OE processes is an added advantage.
