Director Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) - Logistics - APAC

Job Description

We are looking for a Director – HSEQ, Logistics – APAC to lead and shape HSEQ across DP World's Contract Logistics operations in Asia Pacific. You will work closely with regional and operational leaders to embed HSEQ into new logistics projects, from bids and solution design through to launch, while strengthening standards across existing operations and new acquisitions. With exposure across APAC, you will influence how global HSEQ standards translate into practical, effective solutions across our logistics operations.

The role has dual reporting, with a functional solid line to the Vice President – HSE – APAC and an operational dotted line to the Vice President – Operational Logistics – APAC.

Key Accountabilities

  • Drive the development and delivery of HSEQ goals and priorities for APAC Logistics.
  • Partner with bid and solution design teams across APAC to define HSEQ requirements for new logistics opportunities, covering budgetary, technical, legal and commercial considerations.
  • Lead HSEQ readiness for new business launches, ensuring DP World standards, government regulations and customer requirements are embedded from the outset, with the goal of achieving ISO compliance within 12 months of operations commencing.
  • Influence key stakeholders to identify HSEQ risks, develop improvement plans and drive actions through to completion.
  • Ensure Contract Logistics sites comply with the Group HSE Management System and relevant requirements, including High-Risk Assessments, Incident Management and Global Site Assessments.
  • Lead pre-acquisition HSEQ assessments, identify gaps and drive HSEQ improvement plans for the integration of newly acquired logistics businesses.
  • Lead HSE audits, assessments and inspections, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and closed.
  • Lead incident investigations and drive corrective actions and safety culture programmes.
  • Mentor and develop Contract Logistics HSEQ Managers and HSEQ Launch Leads across the region.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Quality, Engineering or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of HSEQ experience, preferably within logistics, supply chain or lean manufacturing.
  • Minimum three years at management level leading regional initiatives and programme implementation.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of APAC HSEQ standards, legislation and auditing practices.
  • Experience designing and implementing HSEQ solutions for large-scale logistics operations.
  • Experience developing, implementing and maintaining integrated management systems, including ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
  • Experience leading incident investigations, corrective actions and/or safety culture programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel across APAC, up to 25%.
