Electrical Engineer

Role Description This contract Electrical Engineer role is an on-site position based in Miri. The Electrical Engineer will design, review, and implement electrical systems for projects, including power distribution layouts, equipment specifications, and wiring diagrams. Day-to-day tasks include performing electrical calculations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, preparing technical documentation, and supporting installation, testing, and commissioning activities. The role involves collaborating with project managers, other engineers, and technicians to resolve technical issues, optimize system performance, and support troubleshooting during construction and maintenance. The Electrical Engineer will also contribute to safety assessments, quality checks, and continuous improvement initiatives for electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, including knowledge of Electricity principles and practical applications.
• Experience with Electrical Design for commercial or industrial projects, including layouts, schematics, and equipment selection.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and local regulations.
• Proficiency in engineering design software and basic CAD tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work on-site in Miri, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
• Prior experience in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
