Job Description

1. Job Summary

We are seeking skilled TVET Fresh Graduates to join our construction execution team. Unlike generic entry-level roles, this position requires you to hit the ground running.

You will be responsible for the full-cycle installation of ELV concealed infrastructure—from first-fix conduit bending/fixing to cable pulling and basic termination. We are looking for graduates who already know how to handle tools and read construction drawings; we will simply provide the project scale and coordination framework.

This is an 18-month contractual engagement tied to the project lifecycle, with a clear path to permanent absorption based on performance, attendance, and quality of work.

2. Key Responsibilities (Execution Focus)

A. First-Fix (Concealment) - Primary Duty

  • Installation: Independently install, bend, and fix rigid PVC and GI conduits onto rebar, block walls, and decking slabs according to approved shop drawings.
  • Box Fixing: Accurately fix back-boxes, pull boxes, and panel enclosures at precise coordinates prior to concrete pouring.
  • Routing: Plan efficient conduit routes on-site to avoid structural steel and other MEP services, ensuring compliance with minimum bending radius and concrete cover requirements.

B. Cabling & Second-Fix

  • Cable Pulling: Pull and dress Cat6, Fiber Optic, Coaxial, and security cables through the concealed pathways with proper tension control (no kinking).
  • Termination: Perform basic termination and IDC (Insulation Displacement Connection) punching for network and security panels.
  • Testing: Conduct continuity, short-circuit, and insulation resistance tests to validate cable integrity before handover.

C. Quality & Site Coordination

  • Ensure all concealed works are completed before plastering or concrete casting to prevent costly rework.
  • Coordinate daily with civil foremen regarding pour schedules to avoid missing installation windows.
  • Maintain site cleanliness and proper material storage.

3. Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

Education:

  • TVET Certification (Diploma / NVQ Level 4 or equivalent) in Electrical Technology, Electronics, or Telecommunications.
  • Important: Applicants must possess their graduation certificate.

Skills (Must-Have - We will test this):

  • Proficient in measuring, cutting, and bending PVC/EMT conduits using standard benders.
  • Ability to read architectural and structural drawings to identify exact conduit routes.
  • Familiarity with cable color codes and basic electrical principles (Ohm's law, insulation testing).
  • Competent use of site power tools (hammer drills, angle grinders, crimpers).

Experience:

  • 0 to 12 months of experience (fresh graduates are highly encouraged).
  • Note: Prior internship/attachment (Practicum) in a construction setting is an advantage.

5. Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Physically Fit: Comfortable working on scaffolding, in confined spaces, and carrying cable drums.
  • Accountable: You take ownership of your assigned zones and do not wait for supervisors to hold your hand.

6. Working Conditions

  • Environment: 100% active construction site (dust, noise, outdoor/indoor unfinished structures).
  • PPE: Full Personal Protective Equipment is mandatory and will be provided.
