Provide technical support for broadcast related issues consist of both baseband and network aspects that affects transmission availability.


  • Provide 2nd level recovery / trouble shooting of technical issues of baseband & network infrastructure across Broadcast platform.
  • Monitors and maintains Astro News/Sports newsroom systems, installation and configuration of hardware and software for end users.
  • Resolve Trouble Tickets (TT) that are escalated from other engineering units or by operational teams.
  • Ensure timely escalation of technical issues to3rd level support and follow up closely for issue resolution.
  • Perform proactive monitoring on the system performance end to end to ensure compliance with specifications and act accordingly immediately as per the SOP when required.
  • Delivers effective and best in class support and performs day-to-day duties and tasks in accordance with the KPI (Key Performance Indicator).
  • Execute corrective, preventive, and proactive maintenance activities as per departmental SOP and KPI.
  • Generate accurate and updated daily shift reports, performance data reports, incident reports and ad-hoc reports as required in timely manner.
  • Recommend process improvements to minimize TT resolution time and other additional improvements to daily operations within the department.
  • Proactive communication (internal and external) of incidents or planned activities to manage customer expectations.


  • Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree in engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Electrical and electronics or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2- 3 years working experience in IT/Broadcast with experience as a team lead or supervisory role.
  • Experience in TV Broadcast, DTT, OTT or Digital Media is an added advantage.
  • Able to work 12 hours rotational shift, flexible and willing to work long or unsocial hours when necessary.
  • Have hands-on experience in Windows Servers , Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft SQL Server, Mc Afee, and Linux servers.
  • Knowledge in database system (SQL & MYSQL), SQL scripting, backend testing and API testing i.e., Postman & SoapUI
  • Knowledge and Professional Certification in Cloud Computing (i.e., AWS), Networking i.e., CCNA is an added advantage.
