Job Overview

We are seeking an Engineering Executive – Maintenance to oversee and manage the maintenance operations of our engineering department. The ideal candidate will ensure that all equipment, machinery, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards, minimizing downtime and optimizing operational efficiency.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

General

1. Maintenance Planning and Scheduling:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules for all equipment and facilities.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure maintenance activities align with production and operational needs.
  • Prioritize maintenance tasks based on urgency and impact on operations.

2. Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance engineers and technicians.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback.

3. Technical Oversight:

  • Provide technical guidance to resolve complex maintenance issues.
  • Review and approve maintenance procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Monitor the performance of equipment and machinery, implementing improvements as necessary.

4. Resource Management:

  • Manage the procurement of tools, supplies, and equipment required for maintenance activities.
  • Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.

5. Quality Assurance:

  • Implement quality control measures to ensure maintenance work meets required standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the quality of maintenance work.
  • Address and rectify any quality issues promptly.

6. Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.

7. Continuous Improvement:

  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements

Qualifications/Experience

  • Minimum Diploma / Professional Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong technical understanding of basic manufacturing equipment
  • Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, analysis and decision-making skills.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
