Position: Ex Supplier Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary focal point between the project team and equipment suppliers on all Ex-related matters throughout procurement, fabrication, inspection and delivery.
- Communicate project Ex requirements, applicable standards and supplier deliverable expectations to vendors.
- Develop and maintain supplier Ex inspection schedules and coordinate Ex Inspector activities, including witness, hold-point and final release inspections.
- Expedite vendor submissions of Ex documentation, including IECEx certificates, drawings, datasheets, QA/QC records and Ex Verification Dossiers, in line with project schedules.
- Coordinate with suppliers to resolve inspection findings, NCRs and punch-list items, ensuring corrective actions are completed before equipment release.
- Monitor supplier manufacturing progress and delivery milestones, providing early warning of potential schedule impacts to the Project Ex Lead.
- Support FATs, supplier audits and pre-shipment verification activities for Ex-certified equipment.
- Verify completeness of supplier documentation packages before submission for project review and formal transmission to the Ex Data Coordinator.
- Participate in supplier performance reviews and contribute to lessons learned relating to Ex compliance, quality and delivery performance.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in vendor inspection coordination, QA/QC, supply chain or expediting, preferably within major offshore Oil & Gas projects such as FPSO construction.
- Experience in vendor expediting and follow-up is highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of Explosion Protection (Ex) principles, IECEx certification schemes and Ex Register lifecycle management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the confidence to firmly engage and negotiate with vendors to ensure compliance with project requirements and schedules.
- Candidates should be proactive, outspoken and comfortable handling challenging or demanding suppliers.
