We are seeking a suitable candidate to join the Integrity & Governance Unit (IGU) of an established organisation within the environmental services and waste management industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining governance, integrity and compliance frameworks, policies, procedures, registers and related documentation.
- Administer and monitor integrity initiatives including conflict-of-interest declarations, gifts and hospitality registers, integrity assessments and awareness programmes.
- Support governance, integrity, ethics, anti-corruption and compliance training, workshops and awareness initiatives.
- Assist in governance and integrity assessments, monitoring and compliance testing activities.
- Monitor relevant regulatory and legislative developments and support assessment of their impact on business operations.
- Coordinate and track the implementation and closure of governance, compliance, audit, investigation and assurance action plans.
- Support internal audits, compliance reviews, investigations, regulatory inspections and assurance activities.
- Assist in conducting Corruption Risk Assessments together with the Risk Management team.
- Support engagements with relevant regulators and enforcement agencies, including MACC, RMP and RMCD.
- Assist in preparing governance, integrity and compliance reports, presentations and updates for Management and Board Committees.
- Support key integrity functions involving whistleblowing, complaint management, detection and verification, integrity culture strengthening and governance.
- Maintain proper governance, integrity and compliance records, databases and document-control systems.
- Support digitalisation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives within the governance and compliance function.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Law, Accounting, Business Administration, Forensic Accounting, Governance, Risk Management or a related field.
- Degree or relevant professional certification in integrity, governance, compliance or ethics will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in integrity, governance, compliance or a related function.
- Understanding of corporate governance principles and the Second Line of Defence function.
- Basic knowledge of risk management will be an added advantage.
- Good analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High level of integrity, professionalism and ethical conduct.
