JOB DESCRIPTION
Vertiv is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Engineer specializing in Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. This role is critical in supporting our clients mission-critical infrastructure by ensuring the reliability and performance of Vertiv's power solutions across telecom, data center, and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance of Vertiv UPS systems, including Liebert® series.
- Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems to resolve faults and restore uptime.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and Vertiv service standards during all field activities.
- Prepare and submit technical service reports, RCARs, and documentation accurately and promptly.
- Provide on-site technical support and training to customers on UPS operation and maintenance.
- Maintain service tools, calibration equipment, and documentation in good working condition.
- Log all service activities in the regional service tracker and contribute to service quality improvements.
- Collaborate with regional and global support teams for escalations and complex issue resolution.
- Provide seamless service delivery and operational flexibility.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in field service, preferably with UPS or power systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, battery systems, and power electronics.
- Familiarity with Vertiv Liebert® UPS systems is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel within Malaysia.
