Position: Finance Executive (Revenue & Operations)

Working Duration: 12 months contract (Renewable based on performance)
Working Location: Merdeka 118, Jalan Hang Jebat, 50118 Kuala Lumpur
Working Day/Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:30AM - 5:30PM
Salary: Basic up to RM4,500 (Based on experience + skills) with statutory contribution + medical insurance + leave entitlement
Job Summary
The Finance Executive is responsible for supporting the day-to-day finance operations of company, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, revenue reconciliation, compliance with internal controls, and efficient management of financial transactions. The role plays a key part in supporting operational and commercial activities through effective financial administration, analysis, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, journal postings, and account reconciliations.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing activities.
- Prepare schedules and supporting documents for management reporting and audits.
- Monitor operating expenses and capital expenditures.
Revenue Management & Reconciliation
- Perform daily revenue reconciliation across multiple sales channels, including onsite ticketing, online platforms, OTA partners, and corporate bookings.
- Verify collections against ticketing and POS system records.
- Investigate and report revenue discrepancies or variances.
- Maintain documentation for refunds, discounts, complimentary tickets, and void transactions.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process vendor invoices, employee claims, and payment requests.
- Maintain vendor master data and payment schedules.
- Support invoicing and collection activities for corporate bookings, events, and partnership accounts.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
Budget & Cost Control
- Assist in monitoring departmental budgets and financial performance.
- Track actual spending against approved budgets.
- Prepare cost analysis reports on manpower, utilities, marketing expenditure, and event-related costs.
- Support cost optimization and operational efficiency initiatives.
Compliance & Audit Support
- Ensure adherence to company financial policies, procedures, and approval matrices.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation for statutory and audit requirements.
- Assist internal and external auditors by preparing requested documentation and supporting audit reviews.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Systems Support
- Liaise with Operations, Human Resources, Sales & Marketing, and other departments on finance-related matters.
- Support maintenance and updates of accounting, POS, and ticketing systems.
- Participate in finance process improvement initiatives.
- Perform ad-hoc finance and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
Academic Qualification
Required
- Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
Experience
Required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in finance administration, accounting support, or related functions.
Preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Experience in hospitality, tourism, attractions, entertainment, or retail industries.
- Experience using accounting software, POS systems, or ticketing systems.
Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
