Finance Manager

We are looking for a passionate Finance professional to bring the team to the next level. He/She will oversee the finance function in Malaysia while supporting regional finance processes across the Acumen Southeast Asia (SEA) business.

This role combines hands-on financial management with process improvement and regional collaboration, and offers exposure across multiple markets (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines).

You will play a key role in strengthening financial discipline, enhancing reporting quality, and supporting the integration of VS Chemicals into the Ravago Group.

Reporting line

Reports to: SEA Finance Lead

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Compliance

Ensure timely and accurate monthly management reporting

Oversee statutory reporting and regulatory filings in Malaysia

Manage external audits and liaise with auditors, tax, and corporate secretarial advisors

Ensure alignment between statutory accounts and group management reporting

2. Controls & Governance

Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial processes

Ensure compliance with group policies and financial reporting standards

3. Process Improvement & Regional Support

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and standardisation of finance processes

Support regional finance initiatives across SEA, particularly within the Acumen channel

Drive improvements in reporting, closing timelines, and data quality

4. Leadership & Team Development

Lead, manage, and develop the local finance team

Provide guidance and coaching to build a strong and scalable finance function

Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by line manager.

Candidate Profile

1. Degree in Accountancy, or its equivalent
2. Prefer minimum with 3-4 years in audit, plus 1-3 years in a similar capacity in commercial Finance setting,
3. Responsible, independent, analytical
4. Strong technical accounting and reporting knowledge
5. Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to operate in a dynamic environment
6. Willing to both hands-on deliver and oversee tasks to meet deadline
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across countries
8. Comfortable balancing operational execution with process improvement initiatives
9. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
10. Prior experience in Big 4 accounting firm will be an advantage
