Financial Analyst

About the Role

A growing professional services firm is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Financial Analyst to join its team. This role is ideal for a CPA-qualified professional with strong prior experience in finance roles and a proven ability to support business leaders with financial management, performance analysis, and strategic insights.

The Financial Analyst will work closely with the CEO and management team to drive financial performance, strengthen internal controls, and provide valuable commercial insights to support business growth and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

● Work closely with the CEO and management team to develop budgets, KPIs, and financial forecasts

● Monitor and measure financial and operational performance against targets

● Identify areas for improvement and provide practical recommendations to enhance profitability, efficiency, and overall performance

● Develop internal control procedures and processes to strengthen governance, improve efficiency, and reduce risk

● Implement and improve broader processes and procedures to strengthen operations and internal controls

● Prepare and present monthly and quarterly management reports with clear analysis and actionable insights

● Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including leadership, managers, and business partners

● Support strategic planning and provide financial insights to assist business growth and operational improvement

● Ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with business objectives

● Partner with leadership to drive accountability across key business metrics and performance outcomes

Skills and Experience

● CPA qualified (essential)

● Proven experience in roles such as Financial Analyst, Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner, or similar

● Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, KPI development, and performance analysis

● Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements

● Solid understanding of internal controls, risk management, and financial governance

● Excellent report writing and presentation skills

● Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

● Commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial data into strategic business insights

● High attention to detail, professionalism, and strong problem-solving capability
