Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible to prepare EPF's financial reports covering both internal and external reports, including EPF's management accounts, EPF's statutory financial statements, and various statistics on EPF's financial data, as well as providing advisory services on transactions and accounting services for the organisation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Improve financial reporting for stakeholders by providing accurate, timely, and useful information to support decision-making.
  • Develop / Prepare Financial Dashboard for the Management, Board of Audit Committee and Board of Directors.
  • Assist in performing financial analysis.
  • Assist in coordinating with system users for the accounting system upgrade.
  • Support the improvement of the financial reporting timeline by ensuring the proper execution of all necessary initiatives.
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving journal vouchers.
  • Prepare detailed reports, statistics, and analysis on Financial Result on a monthly basis.
  • Engage in preparation of Management Accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Produce papers and slides for the Board of Audit Committee and the EPF Board on a quarterly basis.
  • Produce the EPF's Statutory Financial Statements to be included in the Annual Report.
  • Review the financial data in Financial Statements to be included in the Annual Report following the year end closing of accounts.
  • Provide answers to inquiries raised by the National Audit Department (Jabatan Audit Negara, JAN), external auditors and the Internal Audit Department.
  • Deliver briefings, workshops and other programmes organized by the Finance Department for EPF departments, branches, and external delegates regarding the tasks of the Financial Reporting unit.
  • Fulfil ad-hoc tasks from the supervisor and the management from time to time.
  • Coordinate financial closing process improvement and enhance process automation through robotic process automation or any relevant tool.
  • Participate in the implementation of new and enhancement of accounting standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Malaysian citizen
  • Possess a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or any related field which is recognized by the Government from any local or abroad higher learning.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Being a certified member of any professional accounting organization recognized by the government is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in English and Malay Language.
  • Pass Malay Language including oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent as recognized by the Government.
  • Proficient in Excel with prior experience in Power Pivot, Power Query, VBA Macro, and Power BI.
  • Experience with SAP is essential.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present financial information.
  • Demonstrates high motivation and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
