Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site Fundraiser role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur. The Fundraiser will engage with individual donors, corporate partners, and community groups to secure financial support for UNICEF Malaysia's programs. Daily responsibilities include identifying potential donors, presenting UNICEF's mission and impact, organizing and attending fundraising events, and maintaining accurate donor records. The Fundraiser will also support awareness activities to promote child rights and UNICEF initiatives in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Strong fundraising, sales, or business development skills, with the ability to meet targets and build long-term donor relationships.
• Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation abilities, including clear written and verbal skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
• Organizational and project management skills, with experience coordinating events, campaigns, or outreach activities.
• Relationship-building and networking skills, with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, partners, and diverse communities.
• Demonstrated commitment to child rights, social impact, or nonprofit work; prior experience in the humanitarian or development sector is an asset.
• Ability to work on-site in Greater Kuala Lumpur, including occasional evenings or weekends for events.
• Diploma or degree in communications, marketing, social sciences, business, or a related field is preferred.
