We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Global Content Manager. Reporting to the Content Marketing Director this full-time and permanent position is based in Malaysia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our brand team and its growth.
PURPOSE OF ROLE
A hands-on and detail-oriented Content Manager responsible for the day-to-day creation, editing, and publishing of high-quality digital content that supports the company's content marketing strategy, brand voice, and commercial objectives.
SCOPE
Reporting directly to the Content Marketing Strategy Director, this role is the engine room of content execution. They manage the content library, maintain editorial calendars, and ensure a consistent flow of on-brand, optimised content across digital channels — supporting demand generation, brand awareness, and sales enablement goals. They work closely with Product Marketing, Design, Digital, and Regional Marketing teams to bring content to life quickly and at a high standard.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Content Creation & Editing
- Write, edit, and proofread a wide range of digital content including blog posts, articles, web copy, email copy, social media posts, eBooks, one-pagers, and infographics.
- Produce content quickly and to a high standard, adapting tone and style to suit different audiences, channels, and stages of the buyer journey.
- Repurpose long-form content (whitepapers, reports, webinars) into multiple derivative assets (social posts, blog summaries, email snippets, carousels) to maximise reach and ROI.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate complex topics into clear, engaging, and accessible content.
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, messaging frameworks, and SEO best practices.
2. Content Library Management
- Maintain and organise the central content library/repository, ensuring all assets are up to date, correctly tagged, and easily accessible to internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regular content audits to identify outdated, underperforming, or missing content and flag gaps to the Director.
- Track content versions and ensure the latest approved materials are available across teams and regions.
- Support the development of a content taxonomy and tagging system for efficient retrieval and reporting.
3. Editorial Planning & Coordination
- Manage the day-to-day editorial calendar, scheduling content across channels in alignment with campaign timelines, product launches, and seasonal priorities.
- Coordinate with designers, freelancers, and agencies to ensure content is delivered on time and to brief.
- Support the Director in planning content sprints and managing production workflows.
- Ensure timely publication and distribution of content across CMS, email platforms, and social channels.
4. Digital Publishing & SEO
- Publish and format content within the CMS (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot), ensuring correct formatting, metadata, imagery, and internal linking.
- Conduct keyword research and apply on-page SEO best practices to all written content.
- Optimise existing content for search performance based on analytics insights and keyword opportunities.
- Support the Digital team in maintaining and updating product/solution landing pages and blog sections.
5. Social Media Content Support
- Draft and schedule organic social media content (primarily LinkedIn), ensuring a consistent posting cadence aligned with the content calendar.
- Create engaging copy and suggest visual formats for social posts that drive engagement and traffic.
- Monitor social content performance and provide insights to the Director on what's resonating with audiences.
6. Reporting & Performance Support
- Track content performance metrics (page views, time on page, downloads, engagement rates, lead conversions) and compile regular reports for the Director.
- Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, HubSpot, CMS dashboards) to identify top-performing content and areas for improvement.
- Support the Director in building content attribution reports that demonstrate pipeline contribution.
- Provide data-driven recommendations for content optimisation and future editorial priorities.
7. Sales Enablement Support
- Assist in the creation and formatting of sales enablement materials (case studies, solution briefs, presentations, battlecards) under the direction of the Director and Product Marketing.
- Ensure sales collateral is current, accessible, and aligned with the latest messaging frameworks.
- Respond to ad-hoc content requests from Sales and Regional Marketing teams in a timely manner.
ATTRIBUTES / TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong eye for detail, grammar, and brand consistency.
- Competency in leveraging AI tools to support content creation without sacrificing quality and comfortable working to tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in CMS platforms (WordPress, HubSpot CMS, or similar).
- Working knowledge of SEO principles and tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console).
- Familiarity with marketing automation and email platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, or similar).
- Competent in using analytics tools (Google Analytics, HubSpot reporting) to track content performance.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Collaborative team player who can work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders (Design, Product Marketing, Sales, Digital).
- Comfortable using project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, Trello) to manage workflows.
- Basic design skills or familiarity with tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- 2–4 years of experience in content marketing, digital content management, or a related B2B marketing role.
- Demonstrated ability to write and edit high-quality content across multiple formats and channels.
- Experience managing a content calendar and coordinating content production workflows.
- Familiarity with content management systems and digital publishing processes.
- Experience with SEO-driven content creation and basic keyword research.
- Exposure to B2B marketing environments and an understanding of buyer journeys and funnel stages.
- Experience working with or supporting senior marketing leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Portfolio of published content demonstrating range, quality, and adaptability.
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Creative Writing, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Content Marketing (e.g., HubSpot Content Marketing, CIM) are a plus but not essential.
