Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical direction and leadership across site/regions to drive/lead best practices and continuous improvement projects, keep abreast of new technology and develop innovative solutions.
  • Actively participate in industry standard development.
  • Drive systemic improvement to have break thought in processing method.
  • Engage with customer on capability development to support customer need.
  • Establish, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes to ensure reliable, productive, and quality results.
  • Qualify and recommend manufacturing process material, equipment and method for global PCBA/back-end mechanical assembly process solution within the organization.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of the quality system, development of corrective actions, planning of continuous improvements, and supporting the Quality Improvement Process (QIP) to ensure Plexus consistently provides high quality services.
  • Support quote team for new business opportunity.
  • Be subject matter expert on HLA/system integration.
  • Train and mentor process engineers in respective fields.
  • Manage supplier to ensure service support and roadmap development meet Plexus expectation.

Additional Accountabilities:

  • Occasional travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (25%).
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Education/Experience Qualifications:
  • A minimum of an engineering or related science degree is required.
  • Master/ Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics with 5 years of related working experience in HLA/System integration.
  • Multi-site or multi-national responsibilities are a plus.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
  • Certified IPC 620.
  • Certified GD&T.

Other Qualifications:

  • Intermediate Computer Skills.
  • Advanced Decision making, Problem Solving Skills.
  • Advanced Verbal and Written Communications Skills.
  • Working knowledge of key processes and related equipment.
  • Ability to lead multi-Site teams and interact with executive management.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools a plus.
  • General office equipment and materials.
  • Assembly process related equipment, tools, and materials.
