Job Description

About the Role: WOGI is looking for a hands-on Group Accounting & Reporting Manager to strengthen the quality, accuracy and timeliness of our regional financial reporting. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will work alongside the Head of Accounting Operations and independently review the accounting work across WOGI's entities. You will own the group close, consolidation, balance sheet review and management reporting process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead quarterly and year-end closing process for all regional WOGI entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial  reporting.
  • Review entity accounts, reconciliations, journals and manual adjustments, and follow up on errors or missing items.
  • Prepare and review group consolidation, intercompany balances and multi-currency adjustments.
  • Ensure consistent accounting treatment, proper supporting documentation and compliance across different countries.
  • Review corporate and indirect tax calculations and filings prepared by the finance team or local tax agents, ensuring accuracy, proper reconciliation to the accounts, adequate supporting documentation and timely submission. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, tax agents, and external parties on reporting and compliance matters.
  • Improve finance controls, closing procedures, reconciliations and system-related processes.
  • Analyse financial results, investigate unusual movements and provide clear management reporting to the CFO.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance,  recognised professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent
  • Approximately 8–12 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 3–5 years in a regional, multi-entity or group reporting role.
  • Proven hands-on experience in month-end closing, consolidation, balance sheet reconciliation, intercompany accounting and management reporting.
  • Experience in a high-volume transaction business such as payments, fintech, e-commerce, digital platforms, marketplaces, retail, travel, logistics or a regional shared-service environment is strongly preferred.
  • Practical exposure to multiple legal entities, countries and currencies, including foreign currency remeasurement/translation and differing local accounting or statutory requirements.
  • Strong technical accounting foundation and the ability to assess revenue, cost recognition, cut-off, accruals, prepayments, customer or supplier balances and manual journals.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including data reconciliation, pivot tables, lookups and review of complex formulas. Experience with Xero or similar cloud accounting systems is an advantage.
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English.
